We had always had a European River Cruise on our
bucket list, but we had not done any serious research yet. Then, out of the
blue, this trip showed up in our D.L. Evans Bank Travel Club options. Let's do it!! Then, of
course, Covid caused it to be delayed. But, here were are, heading off to
Portugal in the morning!
Shawn will pick us up tomorrow at 5:30AM for the ride to the airport where we'll meet our group of 24 people. We fly to Chicago on United, transfer to Lufthansa for the long flight to Frankfort, then on to Lisbon, where we'll spend a day touring. We go to our river boat in Porto and next day. We'll return home on May 7th.
The tour company that has put together this trip is Mayflower; the boat company is Emerald Waterways.
